October 2014 - Misty

"Misty" was inspired by this quilt from the Wonkyworld blog featuring vintage quilts found on eBay.

1.  Choose some blue/gray/neutral solids or prints like the ones in this quilt. (A little mauve or red is nice too. I see a little plaid and some shirtings in there too. You are the boss.) Use one or more darker fabrics, and one or more lighter fabrics.

2,  Cut rectangles 6.5" long x 1.5" wide.

3,  Sew them together as shown, in a dark, light, dark, light arrangement.

4.  Press all the seams to one side. Trim so that your block is 6" x about 12" or so.

This will make a nice quilt for a chilly day at the beach!
